Electronic Frontiers Australia and fellow orgs and tech companies need your help to ask Labor not to support the Assistance and Access Bill.

This bill will be a disaster to the tech industry. Companies don't want to be forced to build in vulnerabilities and then lie to their customers about them. The Internet is built on trust, this bill dismantles that trust and damages our reputation as an innovation nation.

We reckon that Labor and the Crossbench are realising that this bill isn't worth the damage to jobs, the economy, privacy and security.

Update: Labor have rolled over. They don't care about the Australian IT sector, jobs, security and privacy. The fear in the Canberra bubble of losing votes by being "soft on terrorism" has gotten to them.
